iRecycle Computers has teamed up with the Social Entrepreneur Launch Factor [SELF] and Cooler Solutions to develop and implement a solution to the ever-growing problem of electronic waste. Our goal is to divert all electronic waste from landfill. At the heart of the solution is the creation of a community box. The result is the Inorganic Market™.
The Inorganic Market™
is an event held throughout local communities. The event provides an
opportunity for individuals to participate in helping the
environment. At the event location, participants can bring
their unwanted electronics. The
electronics are exchanged/collected and then stored in the community container. The items are either reused or recycled. A portion of proceeds are returned to the
community.
Cooler Solutions is design partner for Inorganic Market™. They are the creative minds responsible for the design, look and feel of the Inorganic Market™. Information gathered by their ethnographic research has given direction and purpose for the Inorganic Market™. Majority of the visuals used throughout the website have been created by Cooler Solutions.
The Social Entrepreneur Launch Factor [SELF] is a non-profit organization that owns the Inorganic Market™. SELF is the hub for all event activities and anything Inorganic Market™ related must go through them. A timeline of waste diversion efforts demonstrates our goal of a community container.
