iRecycle Collection Day - Past events

Listing of past collections.  All successes!



We were part of the Earth Day event at Downsview Park on April 20th.

The collection was a great success with the diversion of over 3000 lbs from landfill!

We thank Downsview Park for inviting us to be a part of the great tree planting day.


iRecycle Computers will be doing a full collect, meaning all computer related electronics will be collected.  Based on the iRecycle Colour Zones:  Green, Yellow, and Red Zone items will be collected.

Collected materials include:

 

                                    Desktops                                  Monitors (LCD, CRT)

                                    Laptops                                     iPods and MP3 Players

Printers and Scanners                Keyboards and Mice

Cell phones                               Wires and Cables

Routers (Wired & Wireless)        Fax Machines

Digital Cameras                         Speakers

Video Game Consoles               Stereos and receivers

Backup Power Supplies (UPS’s)

 *Hard drives are wiped clean and shredded.


A portion of working components will be reused for donation to those in need.  Non-working items will be recycled by certified recyclers ensuring zero landfil.

Downsview Park, Earth Day Canada and Toronto and Region Conservation invite you to celebrate Earth Day at Downsview Park. Leave your legacy and help create a sustainable community for future generations by planting 2000 trees in Downsview Park's Canada Forest. 

Earth Day at Downsview Park features environmentally-friendly exhibits, activities and entertainment - rain or shine - for the whole family!


  • The Green Pavilion offers food, crafts and products by eco-friendly vendors and exhibitors.
  • The Recycle Yard welcomes your donated used clothes, books, computer equipment and household items for charity.
  • Interactive exhibits by Creepy Crawlers, Earth Rangers and Citizen's. Environment Watch - showcase new ways to reduce, reuse and recycle, and fun ways to learn about nature and the environment.
  • The Kids Area features arts and crafts, origami, buskers, face painting and more!
  • Our Main Stage salutes the best in up-and-coming enviro-focused entertainment by Delta Folk and the Funky Mamas.

Team Green Challenge

Help promote positive environmental action by organizing a group of friends, family members or coworkers to participate in our Team Green Challenge. Tree planting teams can compete to be the "largest group of planters" or the "most spirited group of planters".

On April 19th, iRecycle Computers was at Bridlewood Mall as part of their Earth Day activities.  The Inorganic Market was also be present to promote the event.

iRecycle Computers and Inorganic Market staff thanks Bridlewood Mall, in particular Mary-Anne, for inviting us and helping us make the event such a success.

The collection is a quick collect.  Only Green Zone items will be collected.  As a special request, household batteries will also be collected.


Bring only the following Green Zone items:

Mice                                         Cell phones

Wires and Cables                      Digital Cameras

PDA's                                       Circuit boards

Household batteries


*Do not bring any unlisted items!  Save your Yellow and Red items for a Semi or Full collection.

Computer collection for tenants of York Heritage Managed properties.  First day at the Toronto Carpet Factory in Liberty Village on February 27th.


On February 27, iRecycle Computers will be collecting from the following loading docks at the Toronto Carpet Factory:  1179 King, 72 Fraser,  67 Mowat and 173 Dufferin St.

On February 28, collections will be from the following: 
10 Alcorn, 70 Bond, and 3 & 11 Church St.

Collected materials include:
